*THE DAY OUR AH BENG BECAME THE MINISTER OF FINANCE*

The date was 21st May 2018 when our very own Ah Beng was sworn in by the Agong to become the third Chinaman ever to be made the country’s Finance Minister. The first one was Lee Hau Shik (1957-1959) and the second Chinaman one was Tan Siew Sin (1959-1974). Both were from the MCA.

I really dont understand why Mahathir in his twisted wisdom decided to hand-over the finance portfolio to our Ah Beng. He is not even a good accountant as he never excelled in his studies in Australia. Our Ah Beng is just an average guy but he likes to talk big. Even all the Indians and Benggalis fellas in DAP put together cannot challenge him.

Ah Beng and his doting daddy were so excited and they couldn’t believe their ears when told that the Treasury was theirs! The DAP and its predecessors have been trying to control the country’s economy since 1945 but failed and now suddenly Mahathir gives them control of the most important ministry in the country. As icing on the cake, Mahathir also gave the DAP a few other key Ministries such as Transport, Communication & Multi-Media, Human Resource and others. Dream came true for the Chinaman from Penang. However Ah Beng and Daddy also felt sorry for Uncle Chin Ping who got nothing for all his bloody struggle to convert the country into a communist state and as a vassal of China – poor fella, RIP Comrade Chin Ping.

So our Ah Beng went to MoF and became the Number One chief there. He was very powerful as he controlled the treasury and the nation’s economic pulse. Everyone including the Cabinet ministers must kowtow to him if they want money. But as though that was not enough, Ah Beng decided to bring in his triad brothers including Tiger General Tony Pua as his Special Advisor.

Ah Beng young troops lord it over at MoF. A fatal error of judgment when dealing with the Malay Civil Servants. The new DAP team look down and ridicule the civil servants there, telling them to shoo off as under Ah Beng’s new management style, the MoF’s staff must follow Ah Beng’s mantra of C.A.T that he implemented in Penang. All decisions at MoF will now be made by Ah Beng’s kitchen cabinet headed by Tony Pua. The Sec-Gen of MoF and all his officers down the line were told in uncertain terms that they just have to follow orders and implement all the decisions already made for them. Dont ask too many questions. Naturally the senior civil servants just shrugged off their shoulders and said, ‘OK, since youre the Boss and seems so clever and did not want to listen to us anymore, then have it your way then. We just washed our hands and stayed out of your way!’

Ah Beng, still pinching himself to make sure he was not dreaming, set a lofty standard and believed that as a clever man he can turn around the country’s economy and use sticks to hound the civil servants into doing what he wants. Ah Beng and his team wanted to reinvent the wheel.

The problem was before gaining control of the MoF and other ministries, the DAP has been telling everyone that the Civil Service is bloated, they are lazy, makan gaji buta and are as corrupt as their political masters, the BN. This was their mindset when they arrived at the gate of the ministry. They believed in their own manufactured lies.

Ah Beng was so upset when Tony Pua later told him that senior officers at MoF were giving them the cold shoulders and that every C.A.T’s stuff they wanted to implement at MoF hit the wall.

By now Ah Beng had also realised that he had been played out by that wily old man who had cleverly removed most of his powers and functions as a Finance Minister and gave them to Azmin as the new Economic Ministers. The smiles left Ah Beng’s arrogant face as he realised that he was just an ordinary Pay-Master who was also tasked to prepare the Annual Budget. Damn that old man!

I am relating these events just to remind our young DAP’s followers that when in power never ever look down on the Civil Service like what Ah Beng and Tony Pua did at MoF as without them, nothing can be done. This is because they do things by the book. Their work is governed by so many set rules and regulations that any deviation can spell much trouble to them and their organisation.

Secondly I would like to caution you against trusting old men who used to be your nemesis. Of course you can work together to achieve certain goals. But trust them? NO..!
You dont have to take my word for it, if you dont believe me, go ask our Ah Beng and his lover boy Anwar Ibrahim.
